Nymphaea ‘Shirley Bryne’ is a viviparous tropical waterlily created by Don Bryne. It has bright medium pink petals and green pads. It’s date of origin is 1981. It’s date of publication is 1994. When comparing it to Nymphaea ‘Ruby’ which was also created by Don, they are similar in color although Nymphaea ‘Ruby’ has a lighter base color on the petals. Nymphaea ‘Ruby’ is solid in color on the sepals and plain color shading on the underside of the pads. Nymphaea ‘Shirley Bryne’ has streaking on the outer sepals and small spots on the underside of the pads.
