Nymphaea ‘Pink Ribbon’ is a hardy waterlily created by Pairat Songpanich in 2003. It’s date of publication is 2006. The flower is a clear bright pink with green pads. Naming of this lily was open to people to submit names. Joyce Grigonis of Peconic, New York submitted Nymphaea ‘Pink Ribbon’ as it was very close to the color of pink used in the Breast Cancer Awareness and fund raising campaigns. Mr. Songpanich chose this name from among the entrants. Joyce is remarkable in that she herself is a cancer survivor as well as an avid grower and photographer of waterlilies.
