Nymphaea ‘Garet’s Blue’

Nymphaea ‘Garet’s Blue’ is a tropical lily created by Garet Uemura.
The following is Garet’s description… Hybridized in 1999 by selecting F3 seedlings from a cross between unnamed lilies, this lily was left nameless until recently.  This lily has very broad, dark blue (almost purple) flowers that have approximately 30 petals.  The tops of the leaves are green while the undersides are red.

The name for this lily was coined by two visitors that I had from Japan who wanted one.
