Nymphaea ‘Purple Joy’

Nymphaea ‘Purple Joy’ is a wonderful new hybrid introduced by Ao Weerada of Buafah Gardens in Thailand. It is a beautiful white waterlily with petal tips that appear to have been airbrushed in deep purples and magenta. It was discovered in a field of Nymphaea ‘Lindsey Woods’ and is likely a sport of that mother plant. It does have some of the same coloration and striping. Even more exciting for those who acquire this is that it is viviparous and can therefore be readily propagated in the right conditions.
