Nymphaea ‘Rhapsody in Blue'
Nymphaea ‘Rhapsody in Blue’
Nymphaea ‘Rhapsody in Blue’. It is a hybrid star lily created by Ken Landon. Like all star lilies, it stands high and proud above the waterline. It also was created and thrives in our Texas heat. It has deep bluish purple petals with a yellow center and with purple stamen. It has very attractive chocolate colored pads and is very free flowering just like it’s sibling, Nymphaea ‘Rhapsody in White’. It is a show stopping specimen. It’s parentage is Nymphaea ‘St. Louis Gold’ x Nymphaea flavovirens. It’s date of origin is 2005.
Here is a short video showing Nymphaea ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ in a starring close up role at the IWC with Ken Landon describing the wonderful new star lily. Turn up the volume to hear Ken.
