Nymphaea ‘Hilo Rose’

Nymphaea ‘Hilo Rose’ is a tropical lily created by Garet Uemura.
The following is Garet’s description…

Hybridized in 2003 (Nymphaea ‘George C. Hitchcock’ x Unnamed Thai Hybrid).   Very large, night blooming lily.  Flowers are approximately 22 -24 cm diameter, medium pink flowers with white at the base.  The petals are significantly broader than those of Nymphaea ‘Mrs. George C. Hitchcock’, and stamens are more compact.  Leaves start off maroon, but eventually turn dark green.
