Nymphaea ‘Dr. Ralph (Rafael) Chase’
Nymphaea ‘Dr. Ralph (Rafael) Chase’
Nymphaea ‘Dr. Ralph (Rafael) Chase’ is a tropical lily created by Ken Landon. It is an extremely strong plant with multiple flowers up at all times. It is a hybrid created by crossing Nymphaea flavovirens x Nymphaea elegans. It inherited it’s coloration and more importantly it’s smell from N. elegans as it can be smelled from up to 20 feet away. It has green pads with some flecking and sky blue petals.
It was named in honor of Dr. Ralph Chase who was not only a friend and longtime supporter of Ken’s but someone who has cared for and nurtured the entire San Angelo community for all of his life.
